About
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. I have over sixteen years of experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. I enjoy working with pre-teens, teenagers and adults. My experience includes working with those that are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, substance abuse, social skills, family of origin issues, grief and loss, self-esteem and body image issues, and relationship issues. My approach is strengths based, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques and motivational interviewing.
I think of therapy as a building block for healing and personal growth and approach it as a partnership between therapist and client. Brene Brown states it best, “We don’t have to do it all alone. We were never meant to”.
I hope to provide opportunities for clients to share their stories in an environment that is safe and non-judgmental, in order to help the healing and growth process to begin. I work closely with each person in forming and reaching their own goals. I see adolescents (13+) and adults.
