People call me because they (or a loved one) is hurting; they want to sort things out, understand themselves, improve their relationships, feel better. Working with individuals, families and couples is the heart of my work and skill set. Therapy is work and a form of neuroscience coupled with compassion and therapeutic guidance that can re-establish health, balance and well being. You can change your brain and heal your heart; you can learn to understand yourself and improve your relationships. I meet you where you are and work with you to heal ruptures, grieve losses and be the best version of yourself in body, mind & spirit.
ADHD, trauma, anxiety and depression impact families, interpersonal relationship, self-confidence, and seed unhealthy coping patterns. I specialize in assessment (psychological testing) for ADD/ADHD as well as treatment for trauma, anxiety and depressive disorders. I draw from CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, somatic therapies and interpersonal interventions.
My practice is collaborative using science to inform the work, empower clients and restore mental health. I work with a wide range of ages & concerns providing therapy, consultation and psych assessment i.e., the scientific lens on behavior. Clients who feel understood and understand themselves better have the opportunity to change self defeating patterns.

Research supports that people find symptom improvement in the first 9 weeks of therapy and consistent improvement thereafter. For depression and anxiety, I would normally work with clients for 8 sessions with cognitive behavioral therapy. With trauma related concerns, depending on severity, EMDR may be the primary modality. Other empirical therapies and multiple methods can be discussed.
