My name is Lindsay Jacobs and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I have a gentle but direct and solution-focused approach to exploring the past and present to learn skills to manage your thoughts and feelings, therefore reducing symptoms impacting your daily life. I work with individuals and couples.
My focus is to work on what my client wants to address/change while gently exploring other avenues of stress and anxiety that might be interfering with their life.
I have been working in the field for over 20 years. I have always been a therapist, since graduating from college. I have worked in outpatient and inpatient settings from intake, to counselor, to director! I have also worked behind the scenes with behavioral health insurance companies and understand the medical necessity requirements for treatment.
