As a Licensed Social Worker and EMDR-trained therapist, I utilize a holistic and direct approach to therapy, drawing from various evidence-based practices in order to uniquely target your individual concerns, while exploring your psychological and social needs. I am a LGBTQ+ affirming and sex-positive therapist and strive to create an inclusive, non-judgmental, and collaborative space. My work is guided by person-centered, trauma-informed, and feminist therapy theories and incorporates elements of mindfulness practices to help connect the mind and body.
I have experience working with clients with anxiety, sexual trauma, drug addiction, women’s health issues, cystic fibrosis, residents/medical staff, and oncology/cancer diagnosis. I have a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Women’s and Gender Studies from The Ohio State University, and a MSSA in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University.
Reaching out can be difficult and finding the right fit in a therapist can be challenging. I require a 15 min phone call with each prospective client before scheduling to ensure we are a good fit. Westlake Counseling and Wellness will work with you to help find another therapist in the practice who may be a better fit if we are not.
