I take the mystery out of therapy by working collaboratively with you. My role then tends to be like a coach or instructor. We set goals together. I do not make decisions for my clients. Rather we look for patterns in thinking, actions, and relationships that cause problems. We examine the positive and negative outcomes that cause people to get stuck in negative emotions. While we look to the past to learn how patterns are shaped, this treatment is present and future focused. It is more important to build on your strengths than to dwell on weaknesses.
I am a cognitive-behavioral therapist. I have worked with children as young as two years old. I also see many teenagers. Their problems include tantrums, chronic illness, anxiety, hyperactivity, moodiness, depression, coping with divorce, grief, and self injury. I treat individuals, couples and families.
I can do academic, personality, and intellectual testing. I also do child sexual behavior assessments, and have expertise with child maltreatment treatment/assessment. I have also done extensive parenting evaluations. I work with gay/lesbian clients in all modes of therapy, and also help them network with related resources.

20s support group
This is a social support group- that is small - and meets every other week in Somerville, NJ. It is therapist guided, and encourages fun, a positive attitude, humor, and communication skills. The 20s is a harder time f life than it used to be and has unique challenges. We want to give you the opportunity the growth at home, work, and friendship
