Life's journey sometimes wounds people and breaks down families, marriages and destroys relationships. I provide a safe and peaceful environment so that we can bring about healing together by renewing the spirt and rebuilding hope to restore the individual and their relationships. I take a holistic and solution focused approach that deals with a person on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. I am a licensed professional counselor and have been in private practice for 20 years. I have worked with individuals, couples and families as well as with adolescents.
I have worked with people dealing with lifes major losses and transitions as well as affects of sexual, emotional and physical abuse that have caused problems in their lives. Depression, anxiety as well as anger management and divorce recovery are also areas of expertise. Transition can bring much stress and loss. I also work with moving forward after some endings to find a new beginning.
I use different techniques to help the client like EMDR,EFT, Cognitive-Behavioral with a Solution-focused approach. For adolescents I sometimes will use horse therapy. This is a fun experiential method of utilizing horses with a metaphorical approach that involves fun activities to help the individual be empowered to learn how to cope and connect.
