Are you feeling stuck? Feeling like you lost control of your life or relationships? I work with each client to create a unique plan to reach their therapeutic goals. As a licensed marriage and family therapist my unique background, skill set, and experience are what make me an excellent therapist. I believe my success in working with individuals, couples and families can be attributed to both skill and wisdom.
The therapy I provide is influenced by cognitive-behavioral, emotion focused, mindfulness, solution focused, the Gottman's as well as traditional family systems therapy. I enjoy working with couples facing a variety of life situations and/or trying reconfigure as step-families. I also work well with individuals struggling anxiety, depression, PTSD, and self-esteem.
When I encounter clients I look holistically -- body, mind and spirit. Mindfulness and meditation often are introduced into my work, but is used primarily to influence and guide me as the therapist. I am very engaged and active in the therapy process. I have been working with family systems for over 20 years.
