My style is interactive and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based models to help client's reach desired goals, overcome obstacles preventing growth and self-awareness, both necessary aspects to feeling better to improve well-being and quality-of-life. We look at relationships and behaviors to find an appropriate balance. We examine maladaptive negative behaviors, and replacing them with positive life-enriching behaviors. Licensed in FL, NJ, NY.
Level 2 trained in the Gottman Method which looks at feeling distant, not heard, & poor communication in relationships.
I am an EMDR Certified Therapist. If you have distressful symptoms and memories from a trauma, EMDR can help release the hold these memories have on you, so to feel lighter, reach goals once were unreachable and live a fuller life.
Starting therapy can bring up many different emotions for individuals. My approach is to work at the client's pace. To help the client feel comfortable, and work with the client on the goals the client feels are most important to them. Further, to make the therapy experience safe and empower the client with skills to improve their situations and behaviors.
