I find there are times life can feel overpowering. I like to help people move from a position of powerlessness to one of Hope. Empowering clients is important and enables change. I believe Recovery is a journey. Change can be difficult. Therapy can provide the support needed to move forward with this process. I love sharing the adventure with my clients.
I have been working lately with families that include adult children. When an adult has addiction or mood issues, the whole family is affected. The parents and children of the troubled adults face many problems. When everyone works together, it increases the odds of recovery for everyone.
I have a strong history of using research and a public education to deal with problems at the individual, family and societal level. I find I am using more of this approach in my individual and family work. And getting positive results. I also add a strong 12 step component to all of my work.
