I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Trauma Specialist and a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and grief. I am a client centered therapist which means I use a variety of counseling styles that suit my individual client. I am interested in assisting clients experiencing grief, depression, trauma, anxiety, family issues, and everyday life issues. We all experience loss but each type of loss is different and needs to be addressed individually.
I work primarily with adults specializing in grief and trauma. I also have an extensive background in treating anxiety and depression. Each client brings with them their own individual areas they need to work on and work through. I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as Gestalt therapy, Mindfulness and EMDR.
My goal as a therapist is to have you never feel like you're in a "therapy session". You will experience a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere where you can feel safe and secure.
