What is the difference? Counseling is usually for more solution focused needs and can be short term. Psychotherapy is not advise. We explore deeper emotional issues, identify the causes and work toward a better understanding of yourself so that you can move on and develop healthier ways of coping with life and people. I practice CBT which is Cognitive Behavior Therapy: exploring how your thought patterns affect your feelings and behaviors.
Most of my clients see me for help coping with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues, also stress related to work. Each person is unique and I tailor my treatment plan to each individual. Many of my clients will tell me how comfortable they are talking to me. I am a New York native (outside NYC) relocated to Florida in 1989.
