And to seek help around these issues can feel scary: As an advanced trained therapist in working with Couples and Families I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) that centers around restructuring a once secure bond by identifying negative cycles that have led to distance, distrust, fear, and hurt. Through EFT the couple learns to look to each other through a new lens. The relationship can now be experienced as the place for secure emotional connection where their partner is accessible, responsive, and engaged.
Years spent working as a relational psychoanalyst helping individuals with life challenging issues had me expand my work to couples and families.
My sound experience in working with people as a psychotherapist has only added to my 8 years working with couples and families. I have found EFT to be most successful in helping couples create a more resounding, loving, relationship.
