I specialize in treating adults in individual therapy for various types of issues, including but not limited to history of trauma, eating disorders, depression, Bipolar Disorder, insomnia, relationship problems, and anxiety. In addition, I see individuals who are experiencing blocks to performing well at work, school, and sports, as well as in the creative arts and other areas, using EMDR therapy to help overcome these blocks.
I have over 30 years of practice and experience in clinical psychology. Besides general training in assessment and psychotherapy for various mental health issues, my preparation for specialties in eating disorders included extensive experience as a graduate student in both treatment and research.
I am the only practicing clinician in this area to have been trained by EMDR therapy's founder, Francine Shapiro, in the early 1990's. I have since received and maintain certification in EMDR therapy and use it along with a variety of other approaches to help my clients achieve healing and wholeness.
