If you’ve been doing your healing work, reading, journaling, maybe exploring yoga, energy work, or other holistic practices, but still feel like something isn’t shifting at a deeper level, you’re not alone. People I work with are self-aware and intentional, but still feel stuck in patterns their body hasn’t fully released. I specialize in trauma work through a body-based lens. This means we focus on your nervous system and how your experiences are held in your body, not just your thoughts. When your system has been in survival mode for a long time, it can hold onto tension, overwhelm, or shutdown, so moving forward can be difficult.
My approach is grounded in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR, while also honoring the deeper wisdom of the body and the natural capacity we all have to heal. As someone who is deeply connected to my Guatemalan roots, I hold a respect for healing that is not only clinical, but also relational, embodied, and connected to something larger than just symptom relief.
I tend to work well with people who are open to holistic and integrative healing. This might include mindfulness, movement, nature, or other practices that support connection with yourself. You don’t need to have experience with any of this, just a willingness to explore at your own pace.
