My clinical work is grounded in developmental psychology, neuroscience, attachment theory, and existential inquiry.
I began my career in academia, first as a Secondary Teacher, then as a Professor and Director of Education at Yale University and Barnard College at Columbia University. In these roles, I led teams in under-resourced communities domestically and internationally with a focus on mental and emotional health, family and community systems, and equity.
I strive to know my clients well and appreciate the vulnerability involved in sharing one’s personal narrative. I approach each individual with empathy, dignity, and a desire for others to feel safe, understood, confident, and hopeful for positive change.
