Welcome!
I earned an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis on the Depth Perspective at Pacifica Graduate Institute. I have studied/attended the complete program in Jungian and Archetypal Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. I worked for 8 years at a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault agency.
I understand the hesitation, fear, and doubt that often precede the decision to enter therapy. These emotional states are natural and may be discussed. Non-judgement is key.
I work well with trauma of various sorts. I listen deeply to what you choose to express at your own time and pace.
My specialty is trauma in its various forms. I seek to release the self-judgment and shame that may feel crushing, through the healing power of compassion. I honor intuition and thoughts/feelings that are struggling to come to the surface. I believe and work toward mind, body, spiritual connection and integration.
The foundation of my work is compassion
I invite you to take a leap of faith and enter therapy.
You will be treated with compassion and understanding.
Reframes, acceptance, validation of thoughts, feelings, and intuition are used.
If you feel something's wrong, but you don't know what, if you feel confused but don't know what about, if you fear you are "crazy", you are welcome. Please come.
