About
It has been my experience that counseling begins with a genuine connection between the therapist and client and that through that relationship, the client finds the inner strength and awareness necessary for healing and personal growth. Some of the most profound moments in my career have been when a client has had that inspired realization and discovered the answer to the question that they have been seeking. My goal is to assist them to acquire the skills needed to work through the difficulties that have prevented them from moving forward.
My expertise has included assisting those with a large variety of mental health issues. For eleven years, I testified as an Expert Witness in District Court which provided me with an in-depth knowledge of mental health. I am licensed as a Clinical Supervisor and have expertise as a Clinical Addiction Counselor.
Although I am trained and credentialed in the traditional sense, I offer a holistic approach to my counseling which incorporates Mind, Body and Spirit. I believe that counseling is a process of self-discovery where we can get one step closer to knowing ourselves and add meaning to our lives.
