Do you find yourself caught in the same repeated patterns ? Does depression, anxiety or past trauma limit your life? Are you in a relationship that feels stuck or lonely? Do you struggle with critical self-talk? And the most important question is - do you want to overcome these barriers and build the rich, full and meaningful life you want? I can provide a safe, supportive space, as well as helping you learn effective tools and skills, that will help you make the changes and improvements you seek in your life. You will find me easy to talk to, warm, honest, direct, and participatory with a tendency towards healthy humor.
I tend to see therapy as being about changing the brain and nervous system to enable positive action. To this end, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as my primary foundation, and EMDR, biofeedback and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as tools to help my clients develop new mindsets, ways of seeing themselves, and new ways of being in the world.
In addition to "talk therapy", we will actively learn and practice new ways of thinking, being, and relating. This may include engaging and effective experiential activities, practicing skills, and "little experiments" to try both in and outside of sessions. Even if therapy hasn't been helpful in the past, this active approach may make a difference for you.
