Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills group for Binge Eating is a 12-week research-supported intervention. It is based on the premise of balancing self-acceptance in the present moment and learning skills to change problem behaviors, such as binge eating, that get in the way of living life to the fullest. Each 90-minute session is aimed at helping clients learn and apply skills to better cope with emotions in order to eliminate/reduce binge eating and other maladaptive eating behaviors. Throughout group, clients will learn mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation skills.
