My name is Lily Noonan (she/they) and I am a mental health counselor with psychodynamic training from Northwestern University. As a therapist, I understand that the reasons we come to therapy are not cookie-cutter. By learning the unique context you live in, we will collaboratively work towards ways to live a more authentic, aligned life. My clinical interests include anxiety, adjustment/life transitions, relational stress, occupational stress, burnout, ADHD, self esteem, identity issues, body image and trauma. I also utilize Brainspotting as an intervention.
I am especially passionate about sexual diversity and interested in working with LGBTQ+, polyamorous, and kink-identified clients. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is warm, welcoming and encourages you to express your most authentic self.
Likewise, I will show up authentically as the humorous and curious therapist that I am. I believe that you are more than just your symptoms, which is why I use the Rogerian technique of unconditional positive regard and use strength-based interventions to help you gain the tools you need to facilitate your healing.

Groups
Group Therapy for Parent Trans+ Youth
Transgender youth show significantly more positive mental health outcomes when they have at least one affirming and supportive caregiver. However, caregivers of trans youth may not always know where to begin when I comes to being that affirming supporter and experience emotional distress as a result. This group is designed to help parents comes together to seek support in their unique parenting journeys, process unresolved internal conflicts related to their child, received psychoeducational resources related to trans youth and build a community of like-minded parents who care about continuing to grow into affirming, loving parents for a critical generation of trans youth.
