In my years of practice I have had the opportunity to work with a broad range of people on a wide range of issues. The skills of the therapist, developed and refined over many years are of importance in the clinical setting. Helping clients access their emotional and cognitive processing is a significant component of the work. I work with individuals, couples and families who feel "stuck" to identify the underlying causes and work towards defining goals that will spell "relief". Collaboration and reinforcement are significant in the process in order to help achieve the goals that are established and help create change.
One of my areas of specialty is working with couples at different passages of their relationship; from pre-marital, early stages of a marriage to parenting issues, communication issues and infidelity. Sexual functioning; low sexual desire, erectile dysfunction and others are issues that are addressed. Providing a comfortable space is key.
In working with individuals and couples I offer people a platform in which they can feel heard and understood. Helping couples and individuals see that they are each contributing to the identified problem allows for each party to take ownership and move forward in their issues and or relationship which vary from intimate, professional, social and family.
