I work from an object relations perspective and draw from a variety of therapies including but not limited to narrative, solution-focused, experiential, and cognitive-behavioral. I work with individuals, couples, and families to decisively identify and treat anxiety disorders, codependency, depression, grief and loss, and marital/other relational issues. I welcome any questions you have about my counseling approach and plan for achieving your desired outcomes. To maximize our time in-session, I often give assignments between sessions such as keeping logs of certain thoughts or behaviors, relevant reading, and skills practice.
I especially like to explore, understand, and work with emotions, including anger. I am also very interested in life span development. Looking with you at your family of origin and finding out your own development is particularly interesting.
Having lived in many cultures, I have a broad understanding of the impact of our culture of origin has on our relationships.
