Therapy can be an intimidating process. My goal is to make the experience as easy to engage in as possible. I utilize integrative approaches to therapy, based on the needs of each client. I typically work from a strength-based and trauma-focused approach to treatment that is rooted in attachment-based, psychodynamic, and person-centered modalities.
My specialization is working with complex traumas such as sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, and with those who have sexually offended others. However, I am well versed in working with individuals with ADHD, parenting matters, and interpersonal relationships.
I try to create a relaxed environment where my clients can feel both safe and heard. My goal is to help each client "connect their dots." That can look different for each person. Together we will explore the manner in which the client best understands themselves, their challenges, and the world around them.
