I am a trauma-informed music psychotherapist looking to work with folks to provide body positive music psychotherapy from a Health at Every Size perspective. Wouldn't it be great if you felt less anxious, less depressed and maybe even - dare I say it - joyful sometimes? I believe therapy isn't only about eliminating the hard stuff, but also celebrating the good stuff.

I am a music psychotherapist and creative arts therapist. This means that in addition to traditional talk therapy we can use musical tools to enhance the therapeutic process. This can look like singing together or writing a song to express your feelings, playing a drum or listening to a meaningful song.

I use a combination of therapies depending on the needs and strengths of the client. I consider our first few sessions our "getting to know you time," during which we assess what you want to work on the most, and decide on a plan to get there. During treatment, we will work on a combination of talking through issues and engaging in creative work to access those feelings may be hard to describe.
