I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, and I received my Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from UT Southwestern, graduating in 2016. I have experience as a crisis counselor for the community helping children, teens, and adults experiencing suicidal/homicidal ideation. In private practice, I assist individuals suffering from a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, life adjustment issues, personality disorders, and various family issues.

Sandhya Sharma is a South Asian Indian LPC and certified addictions specialist who works with: Adults, Teens, LGBTQ community, and International Communities. Sandhya will help create a safe and supportive therapy environment and work with you collaboratively to both accurately assess your strengths as well as areas of struggle. She will develop a treatment plan with you to help you facilitate behavioral changes that more successfully meet your goals. Sandhya will help you look at the ways you have been currently coping with life’s problems and help you to develop new strategies from a strengths-based perspective.

We all face struggles with achieving our goals, understanding and overcoming hurtful life experiences, or resolving conflicts with others. Emotional pain and physical pain are processed in the same centers in the brain. This means emotional pain is real, tangible, and needs to be resolved or it will continue to impact how you feel and perceive the world. Trauma, negative belief symptoms, coping struggles, cumulative stress, substance abuse, relationship issues, family struggles, and past difficult memories can be addressed in therapy and there can be permanent healing. You do not have to continue to struggle and suffer from unwanted sensations and symptoms blocking you from living your life the way you want to live it. You can process symptoms and move past them.
