Welcome! I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Indiana and I provide ON-LINE SERVICES ONLY. I received an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis in 2003. Since then I have worked in various capacities in the mental health field in several states. It’s so rewarding to help people navigate their struggles and learn new skills to help them move through life more easily. My favorite moment in therapy is when something finally clicks for the client and all of the sudden a shift occurs. After being stuck and in so much pain there’s finally a new path that brings hope.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in working with adolescents, adults, and families who have experienced trauma and loss. I have worked in a variety of settings, including home-based therapy and outpatient therapy. I have specialized knowledge in working with adoption and trauma.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Bible and Religion from Anderson University. I completed my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. Additionally, I have post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have worked in residential facilities for at-risk youth, schools, prisons, churches and private practices.

Dr. Orr is a licensed psychologist and health service provider in the state of Indiana. She completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University-Bloomington with degrees in psychology and criminal justice. She earned her master’s and doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2010. She has presented at the Indiana Psychological Association Conference on evidence-based treatments for somatic symptom related disorders. She has specialized interest in working with adolescents, adults and elderly individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder, and adjustment.

Many of the people that I see are at differing stages, transitions, struggles and journeys within their lives. Each of you have a unique set of needs and personal journey that prompted you to take this step. I have over 15 years of experience and enjoy working with children, teens and adults and provide individual and family therapy. My goal is to tailor the therapy session based on your identified goals and needs. I provide a safe, supportive, confidential and trusting environment that allows you to express, explore or gain desired insight into yourself, others or relationships or what your personal therapy journey may entail.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Addiction Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, I obtained my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. I have clinical experience working in predominately residential and outpatient settings. I commonly work with adolescents, adults, and families pursuing recovery from alcohol and/or other substance abuse issues. My focus and clinical interests center around the following: improving marital satisfaction and connection; depression; anxiety; increasing self-esteem and self-worth; trauma; increasing family cohesion.

For the Highly Sensitive Person and/or Empath the world can be an overwhelming place. These individuals are “super sensing,” and absorb more sensory and energetic information than the average person. Loud noises, large groups, and energetic overload are land mines we train ourselves to dance around. Years of taking in this level of input without self-compassion and understanding often leads to symptoms of anxiety and depression. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. I have over sixteen years of experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. I enjoy working with pre-teens, teenagers and adults. My experience includes working with those that are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, substance abuse, social skills, family of origin issues, grief and loss, self-esteem and body image issues, and relationship issues. My approach is strengths based, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques and motivational interviewing.

I have spent the last few years of my career working closely with young adults and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma. I also work with those struggling with addictions. I take a holistic approach with dealing with addictions. Treating all the issues that have lead to the use of substance. My typical client starts therapy seeking help to resolve issues that have lead to problems with school, work and/or relationships. I use several different modes of therapy to help them reach their goals such as motivational interviewing, supportive reflection, dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
