I have 15 years experience working with adults, children and couples In the NYC area. I believe therapy should be a safe space for the full expression of thoughts and feelings. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, parenting problems, infertility, issues around adoption, relationship issues, or career problems, I will be invested in helping you gain relief from pain, cope with life's stress, move forward toward your goals and create the life you want to live.
My approach is eclectic, drawing from Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Trauma-Focused, Jungean Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems and Family Systems theories.
I specialize in helping people explore their problem from a number of angles: assess the current bio-psycho-social situation, explore the past in order to understand behavioral patterns established or trauma/pain suffered, look closely at thoughts, and finally come up with some practical solutions toward acceptance or change.
With a background as a competitive athlete and coach, I believe strongly in the mind-body connection. I believe that physiological interventions (breathing, yoga, athletics) combined with psychotherapy can greatly enhance mood and bring a sense of balance to one's life.

Groups
Parenting Course/Group
An 8 week mini-course for parents of elementary school aged children. Each week we will meet for 1.5 hours. The first half will be didactic where we review a different therapeutic modality/frame each week. The second half will give participants an opportunity to apply the theory to their parenting practice. As a group, we will practice new skills learned.
