I have worked in community mental health centers, school counseling and private practice in California, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I provide a safe space to treat various issues for children twelve and above as well as adults and couples. I often utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, yet I often incorporate other approaches depending on my clients needs. I view therapy as a collaborative experience with my clients whom I walk beside and support during our process together. I assist my clients to focus on their personal therapy goals and provide the tools and encouragement to facilitate positive change and personal empowerment.

Life's many challenges, such as chronic illness, cognitive changes, grief and loss can all take a toll on a person's emotional well-being. Emotions such as, sadness, fear and shame can make you feel stuck or even hopeless. My practice focuses on helping those living with chronic conditions such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, treatment resistant depression and anxiety disorders, develop tools to face these challenges head on and find a kind of peace.

"Liminality" refers to the middle stage of change, the threshhold between what was, and what is yet to be. It is when, and where, we are forced by circumstance or choice to leave behind what is familiar, and to journey into a place of uncertainty. It is a normal part of being human. I named my practice Liminal Therapy to honor the process of change and human resilience. My clients are adults (18+) and include people with ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, addictions, and issues related to the stressors of life stages and transitions. Diversity and multicultural wisdom traditions are welcome and appreciated.

Being 60+ and a hospice volunteer has heightened my sensitivity to the issues of aging well. My belief is that people are inherently resilient, and therefore capable of seeing the past in a way that can benefit the future.
