Amanda provides a safe environment where clients can focus on identified areas of growth & healing. She believes that effective therapy is based on trust, while focusing on areas of strength to achieve desired goals. We do we do not all fit into a one-size-fits-all model or approach to therapy, as everyone is uniquely different. During the past 24 years, she has served as Teacher, a Children's Counselor, Sexual Assault/Crime Victims Counselor, Therapeutic Group Facilitator, Grief Counselor, School Social Worker, Parenting Instructor, & Director of a Family Bereavement Center.
Amanda has a speciality for serving children, teens and their families. She is skilled in areas such as Grief and loss, sexual assault/trauma, LGBTQaI+ populations, PTSD, depression and anxiety. Amanda is dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the community through therapeutic interventions, psycho-education, advocacy and healing.
Amanda holds a Master's Degree in Social Work, a License as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), a certified ESA School Social Worker, Recognized for advanced training as a Children's Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) and a certified K-8 Teacher for the state of WA. She is a co-author of Sexual Abuse & Assault Therapy- Resource guide for clinicians.
