The purpose of NBCC is to help individuals achieve their personal life goals by providing evidence-based theoretical approaches that addresses all areas of life. As a trained Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT-IT), I bring a systems lens to peoples’ lives and understand how emotional wellbeing is deeply impacted by past and current relationships at home, school, work, and in the community. My practice focuses on partnering with clients (individuals, couples and families) to heal from grief and loss, career/work stress and exploration, perinatal depression/anxiety, parenting children with special needs, and processing the emotional hardships associated with health concerns and aging. Together, we'll create new ways to heal.

At 67 years of age, I recognize how difficult life can be. As humans, we all struggle from time to time and need someone who can help us navigate our journey through life. I utilize research based science, philosophy and creative expression to help clients examine their life, create strategies for change and ultimately, move forward in their life.

My ideal client is someone coping with mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and/or substance abuse. I specialize in Behavioral Activation - an evidenced based intervention for treating mood disorders and moving clients toward their goals. I also enjoy working with couples and families to help them communicate better and resolve interpersonal conflicts in a healthy way. I have been passionate about systemic couple and family therapy since becoming a therapist in 2019. I'm a certified Prepare-Enrich marital/premarital counselor and trained in the Gottman Method of couples therapy, with good outcomes.

I seek to create a non-judgmental and collaborative environment to explore one's current, past, and future goals. I am learning Internal Family Systems Therapy as well as Sensorimotor Therapy to work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have experience working with adolescents, anxiety, divorce, life transitions, and religious or cult trauma. I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, as well as group therapy and workshops. If you’re curious about becoming a client, the first step is a conversation. I have completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
