Maybe this latest life transition was the catalyst to launch you to your next level in life.
As a Black Woman raised in the South, now residing in the Pacific Northwest, I know too well the impact that some life transitions can have on identity. They leave you desperately clinging to who you’ve always been while trying to dodge who you’re now forced to become. Somewhere in the midst of the transition, you started realizing that who you’ve “always been”, was never your true identity. Now you’re grappling with confusion, a loss of direction, and the seemingly unanswerable question “who am I”? Truth is, your identity is rooted in narratives you didn’t write and they may no longer support who you are becoming.

My goal is to help you identify the areas in your life that you have been struggling with and to define a path towards less stress, and more joy.
I'm glad you took the first step, and are thinking about making a change to take a different direction in your life. That's the first step, is to acknowledge that you are struggling in a particular area and you are ready to take the next steps to change that direction and start heading towards the path that you had hoped and planned for yourself. Great work already! I'm glad you are here!

If your life is calling you to something different, something better than where you’ve been, then I would be honored to help you get there. The way to our best life is often paved with obstacles, clouded by the unknown, and honestly painful and terrifying sometimes. But there IS away, and step by step, it is revealed to you. I can help you identify those next steps, navigate the unknown with greater confidence and clarity, and step into your power, courage, and authenticity in order to align with and create the healing, change, and dreams you are being called toward. Guided growth… this is what we will co-create together.

Hi! Here is a bit about me and what I offer. I believe continuous self improvement is a must in life, so I’m always seeking ways to further my self (i.e. mentally, physically, spiritually). I call this “A journey of self-cultivation.” The journey has consistently helped me overcome roadblocks. These roadblocks are always internal and are due to non-unified parts of my self. The unification brings deeper self-understanding or self-mastery. Self-mastery gets me out of my way as I work towards my greatest aspiration. It is not always easy, but it’s fun. I wouldn’t change a thing. I can offer you the same.

Single Moms and Dads looking for a better life, Women in marital crisis, Parents experiencing an empty nest.
I believe each individual has a special gift to give. Sometimes this gift is clear to a person, but in many of us it takes self-discovery to bring out our innate gifts, which ultimately provide meaning and purpose in our lives. I work from a strength-based philosophy, highlighting the positives, moving clients toward awareness of where they are in the moment and provide them options to move forward to meet their stated goals. My responsibility is to provide career guidance to students and adults. I play a critical role helping clients clarify their interests, values, skills and needs.

Georgia O'Keeffe once said, "I've been absolutely terrified every moment of my life, and I've never let it keep me from doing a single thing that I wanted to do." What a powerful statement...and yet so many of us find ourselves struggling in our day-to-day lives. These struggles impact our significant others, spouses, children, parents, teachers, business partners, customers, coworkers, supervisors, subordinates, and... even ourselves.

I consider myself to be a transformation therapist and spiritual life coach.
I work extensively with past/childhood trauma, divorces, family conflict, grief, and fear. The focus of my work is about acknowledging and releasing the beliefs we develop about ourselves from events that occur in the past that are hindering our True selves for flourishing in the present. As an original life coach and counselor of 40 years, I help people see all possibilities and make a greater vision of themselves, their unique talents, gifts and abilities. I have been teaching seminars, workshops, and private sessions for my whole career. My unique healing modality, "The Clearing Process", is the basis for all 24 of my workshops.

Almost everyone at times needs some support or coaching on their life journey. As a seasoned therapist I'd be happy to sit down with you and compasionately listen to your story and lend some hope and support. I see "crisis" as an opportunity to face and overcome the dangers around and in us and a time to open up to the radiance and mysteries of Life.

I love counseling, coaching and consulting. In delivering these approaches to enrich my clients’ lives, different modalities are used. These include and are not limited to cognitive behavioral, emotionally focused individual therapy, and humanistic/existential format – pinpointing where the client is at, promoting an understanding of their subjective experience while also honoring their past experiences. For some, recognizing and bringing awareness on how those experiences influence their present lives cultivates healing- one goal being maximizing an individual’s potential to enrich their lives according to their core values.

Let's face it, life can be stressful. That stress can become even more pronounced as you navigate new transitions like becoming an adult, moving to a new city, starting a new job, or leaving a relationship. Often times we have the answer but just need help sorting things out. Sometimes family and friends can be too close to help you identify your challenges. Sometimes THEY are the challenge. Working and trying to manage day-to-day responsibilities is no simple task. This is why I a firm believer in therapy.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
