Welcome. In your search for assistance, experience & effectiveness matter. With 50 years practice, mine is a motivational, well-researched method & interactive style. Respecting what is already working, we will focus both on what is going well in your life and where you would catalyze your efforts for desired change. The goals may vary; but sharpening perception, connecting more deeply with self & friends, and adjusting old messages that interrupt optimal living are usually involved. I have counseled clients since ‘74, 33 of those years in Seattle, mainly with couples & women who are attracted to a holistic, humanist approach.

Are you feeling stuck? What's getting in the way of living a satisfying life, one with heart and meaning? You may be coming to therapy because of a new development or something very old, you may not even know what it is. You may also be adding to your burden by judging your self unfairly. But there is hope, therapy can usher in exciting transformation. When we can embrace the gifts that come with challenges, old fears lose their power. I deeply enjoy helping clients explore/work through difficulties with the purpose of breaking old patterns and intentionally creating a new path forward. Healing and growth is possible for you too.

Do you sometimes fall victim to negative thinking? Do you feel like you live in a constant state of stress? You may be struggling with mental health challenges, loneliness, or patterns that no longer serve you. Whatever it may be, my goal is to help you transform your thinking, discover a deeper understanding of yourself, and be able to connect with the world in an entirely new way. I believe in the power of connection, and the healing relationship between client and clinician. Therapy can act as a non-judumental space for you to share your world and, specifically, what it is like to live your life.

Imagine feeling seen, heard, and understood, finally free from the need to perform and embracing a life filled with genuine pleasure and fulfillment.
You've achieved incredible success, but beneath the surface, you feel unseen and unheard. The truth is, 75% of High Performers share a secret: moderate to severe trauma, including loss, poverty, or abuse. People see your wins, but not the struggle with the fear of failure, isolation, exhaustion, and the need to perform or else...who are you? Like you, I've had to work a lot on myself, alone. The unfortunate paradox is the more you know, the harder it is to find someone to truly help. I get that frustration. With my unique approach, you will feel empowered to cultivate healthy systems and make conscious choices towards healing.

Single Moms and Dads looking for a better life, Women in marital crisis, Parents experiencing an empty nest.
I believe each individual has a special gift to give. Sometimes this gift is clear to a person, but in many of us it takes self-discovery to bring out our innate gifts, which ultimately provide meaning and purpose in our lives. I work from a strength-based philosophy, highlighting the positives, moving clients toward awareness of where they are in the moment and provide them options to move forward to meet their stated goals. My responsibility is to provide career guidance to students and adults. I play a critical role helping clients clarify their interests, values, skills and needs.

I have immediate openings! Life demands a lot from us. Responsibilities, relationships, and the tasks of daily life require so much energy that we often spend precious downtime exhausted, mindlessly staring at screens. I help individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, stress, and overwhelm make meaningful changes in their lives. By working to better understand yourself, by giving yourself space to heal, learn, and grow… change can come. Anxiety can become presence. Stress can become acceptance. Overwhelm can become peace.

Let’s face it, modern life is stressful. With constant demands on your time and attention, it’s not surprising that you’ve neglected what used to be your north star – your relationship. This may leave you feeling disconnected from your partner & trapped in a cycle of go-nowhere fights. You probably miss the spark that made you excited to see each other at the end of the day. You long for the days when the two of you were in love. I am on a mission to create a better world by helping couples build stronger relationships. People in healthy relationships feel better, get more done & contribute to positive change in the world.

I've received feedback from clients that I am "easy to connect with"; and am good at developing treatment plans, "being a life coach", and providing hope and direction.
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Child, Adolescent, and Family treatment from Seattle Pacific University (2008) and my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Gonzaga University (2001). I have been a Licensed Psychologist in WA since 2010, and I am paneled with most insurance carriers. I have practiced in a variety of settings, including university counseling centers, public school systems, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and mental health agencies. I view my primary role as providing a safe and contained environment where individuals can gain stability, increase insights into themselves, and develop more positive coping strategies.

Hi! Here is a bit about me and what I offer. I believe continuous self improvement is a must in life, so I’m always seeking ways to further my self (i.e. mentally, physically, spiritually). I call this “A journey of self-cultivation.” The journey has consistently helped me overcome roadblocks. These roadblocks are always internal and are due to non-unified parts of my self. The unification brings deeper self-understanding or self-mastery. Self-mastery gets me out of my way as I work towards my greatest aspiration. It is not always easy, but it’s fun. I wouldn’t change a thing. I can offer you the same.

Pornography addiction can significantly impact your life and relationships but there is hope for recovery. I’m not just a mental health professional, I’ve been “you” for many years. I understand firsthand the personal struggles in your life and committed relationships that come with uncontrollable pornography use. The endless stream of attractive women a few clicks away on Pornhub, Onlyfan or Social Media is hard to quit even with all your willpower and promise to quit for the sake of your relationship

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
