As a counseling psychologist by education, I have been blessed to provide individual, group, marital and family counseling for over 30 years in various settings including major medical centers, university counseling centers, and private practices. I prefer to work collaboratively with clients, ages 13 to adult, and assist in their development of life and relational skills to help moderate their anxiety, depression, grief, frustration or relationship distress. My clients are confronting various life transitions including job stress/dissatisfaction, mid-life confusion, betrayal, divorce, adjustment to change or loss of a loved one.

We all experience hardships in life, whether sudden or gradual. My experience of 15 years includes working with clients experiencing various life challenges including chronic health issues, grief, family dynamics and personal trauma to providing specialized care for Veterans facing combat-related stress and the effects of redeployment on personal and family well being. I currently live in East Tennessee with my wife of 20+ years and our three beautiful adult daughters and grandson (with 2 more grands on the way)! I am a graduate of Ole Miss and the University of Alabama. I have spent the last 8 years as a therapist in multiple settings and prior to that worked in the social work/child welfare field. I bring a unique personal therapeutic approach for adoptive and foster families. I also enjoy working with college students, individuals and couples.
