We cannot stop the flow of life just as we cannot stop waves in the ocean.
Your Spirit is calling you to remember your true nature; to dive below the judgments of your mind, the conditioning of your past, and fears of not being enough or worthy of a rich and satisfying life. Many people struggle in life trying to find a place in the world to fit, feeling inadequate and judging their pain. All along, the perfection of who you are is waiting to be discovered. For this you must journey within. With careful attention, each moment is an opening to what is most essential, true and relevant NOW. Tap into your creativity and learn to play for real. I do not assess, diagnose, or offer remediation for dysfunction.

Your mental health is getting worse and worse, and you just want it to stop. Your day to day life is chaos and worry and you remember better days when things just weren't like this. I am passionate about coming into the Here and Now with clients and believe in the healing power of being witnessed with presence and loving kindness. Using mindfulness based practices I focus on supporting clients in addressing issues of depression, anxiety, and identity issues. In session I emphasize bringing the client’s attention out of thoughts/stories and into their present moment bodily experience with the understanding that more immediate change can occur this way. I enjoy experiencing the client and counselor relationship as a microcosm of the client’s greater relational life, and an opportunity to do deep healing.

My style in working with clients is positive and direct. I believe wholeheartedly in the possibility of change, and that the deepest, most powerful change starts on the inside. As our core beliefs, patterns and awareness shifts, life on the outside begins to reflect those internal changes, resulting in greater satisfaction and meaning. My approach involves working in partnership with clients, using the counseling relationship as a catalist on the journey to healing and growth, both individually and in relationships.

I subscribe to the notion that life is a spiritual journey, and that each of us, define our own, unique meaning, design, and destination.
We all become (at some point) shackled to a stuck version of ourselves. Being vulnerable enough to choose something other than our perfectly practiced persona can seem ~impossible. Is your ~asker too broken to learn another way? It takes courage to recreate, redefine, and let go of what doesn't work! "I Don't Know," become very important words when we choose to sail the rough seas...and yet, the risk can be so beautiful. It becomes excruciatingly clear that the pain of staying where we are, must become more acute than leaping into something wonderfully new!

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
