Sometimes life just becomes too much to manage alone. Maybe it's uncontrolled anxiety or overwhelming sadness that is interfering with your daily activities. Many people struggle with fear that they don't outwardly recognize. So many as well, hold onto long standing negative self beliefs that they live their life believing they are not good enough, not whole, or lost. Finding a therapist that you trust and feel comfortable with is the beginning of a new and hopeful chapter in your life. Together we build a bridge between the past and a brighter future. The environment I hope to create for each of my patients is one of warmth, safety

If you are struggling in one of the following areas: your relationship with food and body image; parenting a special needs or otherwise spirited child; or happen to be at an impasse in any area of life- Welcome! You have come to the right place. In my work, I firmly believe that awareness coupled with goal-directed action makes for the greatest agent of change. I also believe that you innately possess all that you need to effect change and that we sometimes need a collaborative partner to guide us back to our most authentic and wise-minded selves.

**EMAIL IS BEST* You and I will work together to face the challenges you may have. As a Social Worker & Certified Life Coach, I am committed to helping you find your strength and motivation so you can accomplish your goals. I adapt my work method to meet the needs for each of my patients. Together we will make changes and work to achieve a less anxious life. Everyone feels anxious at times. Worrying can be helpful when it spurs you to take action and solve a problem. But if you're preoccupied with "what ifs" and worst-case scenarios, worry becomes a problem. Anxiety and constant worry maybe holding you back from your goals.

I like to think of one's life as a puzzle with many uniquely different pieces, all of which are significant in creating the finished product.
I have experience with individuals struggling with ADHD, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, ODD, OCD, domestic violence, learning disabilities, attachment issues, family struggles, low self esteem, stress, to name a few. There are many modes of therapy that I incorporate into my work as no one approach works for everyone. I believe my approach to helping people is unique.

Understanding and the ability to relate to others are very important to me and help create a connection as I strive to listen and provide compassion and direction to those in need. It is also most important to have a framework in order to help people achieve their goals - I do. I use the necessary therapeutic interventions that are specifically tailored to those I see which has achieved a high success rate.

You are just as important to your communities as your communities are to you. This framework grounds the work I do. Western concepts of healing have historically enforced rigid individualism as the ideal way of life. However, I believe that understanding who you are, as both an individual and community member, makes space for your more nuanced, wholesome, and expansive narrative. My work with clients focuses on being present with emotions, navigating individual and collective traumas, reconnecting to your physical body, and empowering healing and joy. I'm hoping for healing and liberation for us all!

My experience has been working with adults of all ages, adolescents, couples and families with varying mental health needs, addictions, life traumas, destructive behaviors and communication patterns.
Kudos to you! It takes such strength to acknowledge and respond to your needs and therapy is an incredibly effective way of gaining insight to promote self growth and achieve happiness. Our behaviors and day to day interactions with the world and the people in it, as well as how we feel about it, are based on a series of different parts; our thoughts, our experiences and our life events. My aim is to help you navigate difficult events, repair unhealthy interactions and get to the root of the issue; reframing unproductive thoughts and negative experiences so it is no longer hindering and you can become a better you.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
