I believe in helping to de-pathologize you and whatever it is that you are struggling w, and helping you to experience your self, situation, and LIFE in a whole new way. I'm usually a good fit for ppl that aren't into traditional "therapy" for whatever reason: anxiety, skepticism, bad or unsuccessful past experiences, if you think you, your family, everything is/are beyond hope, or if you are interested in something completely "outside the box", bc that is me.

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, my goal is to help individuals, couples and families learn strategies for managing life stressors in order to increase their quality of life. Having previously served in the military and first responder, and now as a school counselor for children, I am dedicated to the service of others with a humanistic, person-centered, and strengths-based approach. My passion is in helping others heal from the effects of trauma and the many other obstacles that life will present. Often times the hardest step is the first step. I have spent my career working in mental health and am dedicated to helping people live the life they want. I have worked with people challenged by anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and difficult life transitions. I believe that together we can develop a plan that works for you, identify strategies and skills to get you there, and the confidence to keep it going long after.

Over the past 15 years, I've had the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings and in the presence of clients from all walks of life. My primary educational focus has been on understanding the importance of integrating holistic theory into the realm of counseling and I've found great success in exploring this avenue of therapy with my clients.

I use real life examples to help you move forward. My favorite day at work is when a client tells me "I feel great!" It is up to the two of us to get you better and not keep you stuck. Over the years I've had many clients tell me "you're the first counselor I've ever had that I don't feel like I need to edit myself in front of" I'm honored that so many people are so comfortable with me.
