My philosophy is framed from a strength based perspective, "what's well with you" not "what's wrong with you".

I am informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a basis for emotional processing and behavior change. I am deeply committed to respecting each person's individual experience and work to identify tools and interventions that fit the needs of each person. I believe in an integrative health model exploring the mind, body and environment. I believe that exploring the use of mindfulness techniques can have powerful positive effects with individuals who are open. My aim is to support individuals into awareness of their personal strengths and to encourage growth and healing from within, despite the external circumstances.

A basic theme in behavior can be viewed as a directional thought process. If we think it, believe it, we can become it. This thought process can apply to how one handles a problem. There are times that problems interfere with daily life in such a way that it grows into an overwhelming place of emotional discord in our personal and/or professional lives. Stress, anxiety, depression, and premarital/marital issues can be metaphorically high on the Richter scale for mental health therapy. These factors can also be connected to deeper issues related to human behavior. Welcome services are provided for individuals, couples, and families.
