I like to be real with people. I find the best way to work with individuals and couples is to be present, ask the right questions, and give honest feedback. Whether you are coming to therapy for personal growth, a relationship or family issue, healing from loss, past trauma, or anything else, I want to explore who you are, how your life experiences have affected you and your relationships, ways in which those experiences keep replaying themselves, and how to get you out of the cycle. My approach is to provide a comfortable and real space to talk, explore and work on feeling better.

I have experience working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, including those experiencing anxiety and co-occurring health issues impacting mental health.I enjoy incorporating mindfulness, expressive arts, and other holistic modalities into my sessions and will provide resources for you to utilize in everyday life. Using the Internal Family Systems model, CBT, and mindfulness, we'll take a deeper look into how your upbringing and life events have shaped your internal belief system.
Imagine the freedom of living without constant worry and anxiety. As an Asian American therapist, I offer culturally responsive care addressing intergenerational trauma, stress and depression. Together we'll work towards unlocking your unmet needs, discover purpose and restore balance back into your life. Do you find yourself lost in responsibilities for others; whether its your partner, work, family, church or even your child? This can lead to a loss of self and identity, overwhelm, low self-esteem, and a relentless pursuit of perfection. Hardship and pain can often feel lonely, but you don't have to face these challenges alone.

Learning to balance your work and your personal life feels impossible but necessary.
In entertainment, the arts, and freelance work isolation is an issue that's often unrecognized. The joy of working on something you deeply care about also comes with side-effects: Isolation, fear of rejection, motivation loss and lack of balance. It can be hard to find your footing and tap into your best self. This unique lifestyle offers the potential for fulfillment and also the potential for stagnancy and imbalance. It can be so overwhelming. You want to know when is the right time to follow your intuition. When do you trust people around you and your own voice that doubts you?

HeIlo! Welcome! Are you ready to work on your issues with the support of an experienced, compassionate therapist? Let’s meet to get acquainted with one another and discuss your issues and goals, and to help heal and grow. Some of the issues my clients experience are Depression, Anxiety, Relationship issues, ADHD, and Trauma. I work with clients who have dysfunctional family backgrounds, have survived various types of abuse, and are struggling with dealing with family members or others, and with recovering from their childhoods. I also work with clients who have a “difficult” parent/parent with a personality disorder.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
