My hope is that if you are in a place in life where you feel stuck or are ready for change in general that you will take a chance and reach out to me.
Relationships are of utmost importance to me and I see the value in helping others work towards the relationships they need and deserve. I aim to join you where you are and in a loving yet firm way, help you to see your role in the negative interactional patterns that are occurring in your life whether it involves a spouse, a child, a family member, friendship or work relationship. We are created for connection and whether or not how we approach those connections is healthy will determine our stability and security in life.

Sometimes, we just feel stuck and don’t know where to begin. Other times, issues that we have felt were resolved suddenly come to the forefront of our lives all over again. I truly believe that healing and growth is a process. Life unfolds giving us opportunities to learn, to grow, and expand our tool set for what it means to live an authentic and healthy life while working on the relationship that we have with ourselves and others. I work with people using a holistic approach that will give you the tools to find emotional healing— anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, and changes all ask us to look within ourselves.

What is it you want to FIX? Where are you STUCK? What is it you don’t KNOW? Are you questioning your relationships, health, life satisfaction, or accomplishments? If you look "together" on the outside but feel different on the inside, you're not alone! Our culture demands we try to have it all, fit in, & focus on the positive. Yet guilt, self-doubt, anxiety, frustration, overwhelm, & feeling not good enough is SO common. Performing, producing, perfectionism, & people pleasing is SO exhausting. When this no longer works for you, it's time for a different approach. We'll work from the inside for your RESET!

I can help you explore the sources of suffering that lead to understanding and acceptance which evolve toward a greater authentically lived life. As your counselor, my goal is to help you uncover repressed, misplaced potential to lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life today. By applying complementary therapeutic approaches, we will unearth long-standing negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

We all want to live a fulfilling, meaningful life. We want better relationships, strategies and hope. Sometimes we get trapped in the challenges, difficulties, and pain that comes our way. Coming to terms with a difficult past, present, or future takes courage and time. My role is to help you learn to improve your challenging situation or relieve the hurt you feel. It may be due to life transitions, hard relationships, pain from the past, chronic stress, or fear of future events that have you stuck. We will work together to develop a plan for the issues you want to improve in a realistic, attainable manner.

I consider it a joy to work with couples, families, and individuals. It is an honor when people allow me to walk beside them in their journey. I believe that each person has great worth and their stories are as unique as snowflakes. Sitting with people in their distress gives me an unparalleled vantage point from which to watch the healing power of secure attachment in the lives of my clients. Relationships provide a safe harbor for our lives and when they are strained or broken, we feel real pain. My approach provides a proven path back to healthy relationships.

As a therapist I try to be very pragmatic: what works and what is true, in my opinion have to be the same thing. The Adlerian question: "What is it that will be different for you when we have successfully finished psychotherapy?" Is the navigating principle of the therapeutic map. I am convinced (and research supports me) that the counseling relationship is, by far the most powerful positive factor in successful psychotherapy.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
