I have many years of experience working with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. It is my goal to walk with clients through difficult times and move them towards living a full and meaningful life. Each person, couple, and family have a unique story. I use a client centered approach and believe in treating everyone with respect. My approach is flexible, affirming, compassionate and will focus on holding a safe space for you, while challenging you when necessary.

I work with adolescents, adults, families, divorced and single parents, blended families, and see people of every race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.

My ideal client is anyone who is dealing with the feeling of hopelessness, stuck, trouble adjusting with life events, depression, anxiety and more. For you to be an ideal client and for the work I offer to work, it starts with you being motivated in putting in the work towards change.

Sometimes, we just feel stuck and don’t know where to begin. Other times, issues that we have felt were resolved suddenly come to the forefront of our lives all over again. My goal is that folks feel hope when they leave my office. I believe that individuals, couples, and families are at times lacking the tools to get back on track after they have been derailed by life. My job is to help them on their journey in working toward a healthy outlook and better connections in their relationships. My ideal client is someone who has hit their rock bottom and knows change must occur. Their issues could range from anxiety, to processing being an empty nester, dealing with death, caring for aging parents or children's children, navigating teen age years, etc. Their need is peace. Their goal clarity and direction to find peace within and with others.

I believe that each person has great worth and their stories are as unique as snowflakes. Sitting with people in their distress gives me an unparalleled vantage point from which to watch the healing power of secure attachment in the lives of my clients. As a therapist I try to be very pragmatic: what works and what is true, in my opinion have to be the same thing. The Adlerian question: "What is it that will be different for you when we have successfully finished psychotherapy?" Is the navigating principle of the therapeutic map. I am convinced (and research supports me) that the counseling relationship is, by far the most powerful positive factor in successful psychotherapy.
