My vision is to empower every person who seeks help to achieve balance in their lives by offering the opportunity to access new tools and improve unwanted behaviors. I provide affordable therapeutic interventions to the adult population seeking help with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, burnout (political, professional, social media, etc.) or other emotional disturbances. My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care and provide a neutral ground for individuals and couples who are committed to working toward their goals and values.

I primarily work with young adults on an individual basis and have experience with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, severe and persistent mental illness, self-esteem, interpersonal issues, trauma, identity issues, spiritual and existential concerns, life transition, and other emotional wellness concerns. My approach to counseling utilizes the Family Systems Model and Cognitive-Behavioral techniques.  I believe our past experiences and environments help us to develop how we think and respond to life’s stresses.  This is where CBT can be helpful in changing false thinking and negative responses. I see people between 16-18 years old if it is their choice to seek help, and adults between 18 and 65 years of age, or older if they can pay privately. They are people who want to resolve troubling issues within themselves through increased self-understanding or between themselves and others through increased knowledge and willingness to practice new behavior.

I have served in the mental health field for nearly two decades, assisting countless people overcome challenges and lead more fulfilling lives. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Master Addiction Counselor assisting. My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other evidence - based interventions. I also use EMDR to assist clients experiencing the emotional and physical impact of traumatic events.

As a 2nd gen Asian-American born to immigrant parents, my cultural identity has been one of depth and confusion. Holding values from my parent’s home countries, mixed with my American values; it has widened my understanding of mental health from a cultural lens.
