Does fear, trauma, or anxiety interfere with living your life? Do you feel uncertain about the direction your life or relationships are drifting? Or do you wonder how to assert yourself more in your relationships? If the answer is yes, you are not alone. Life is filled with the unexpected and the best we can do is to find solutions. But it is often not simple to act on or even know what solutions exist. Our fears, anxieties, traumas, and other emotional blocks diminish motivation and confidence to take action. This makes a self-reflective examination of what is necessary to support the growth of what is possible.

Our current Covid-19 climate of living, can be highly stressful and anxiety provoking for many people. Are you feeling anxious? Down? Stuck? Frustrated? Not sure what it is but cannot put your finger on it? Perhaps you have experienced a crisis and feel like you are spinning out of control. Or maybe life somehow now feels unmanageable. These feelings can cause an increase in limiting beliefs and negative self-talk, which can also affect your personal and professional relationships. This is not at all unusual, and IS very recoverable. It is my pleasure to help you make sense of it, regain your footing, and help you get back on track.

I applaud your willingness to take this first and courageous step. Making the decision to begin therapy can be extremely difficult but the result can be highly rewarding--and life changing. I provide therapy services for adolescents, adults, couples, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and many other life or relationship problems. Though I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, I have developed a passion and distinctive skill set for working with the college-aged/young adult population and their unique issues, finding that the work I am doing has not only been highly effective but also rewarding.

If you’ve stumbled across this ad, you must be in need of some support. I am passionate about helping people work through life experiences that increase depression, anxiety, addiction, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. My focus is to decrease the symptoms that are impacting the quality of your life and improve your relationship with yourself and others. During my life, I have lived through many experiences that caused severe emotional distress. I tried, unsuccessfully, to manage the impact mental health symptoms had over my life that felt out of control. Something needed to change.

Unlike a residential program, you’re able to stay at home and practice the skills you learn in real time while also getting intensive support around your daily life while in the program.
Are you a teen or adult that is unable to do your daily activities? Unable to go to work or school? Too depressed to get out of bed? Too anxious to go out? Feeling the urge to self medicate to get through the day? Did you just get released from the psychiatric hospital? Do you have big emotions that run your life? Do you feel out of control? Do you ask yourself why you should continue to go on? Have you tried Intensive Outpatient Programs before and not liked being in groups with people you don't know? Have you wished you could find an IOP that helps you privately? Then PEP's DBT IOP is the right place for you!

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
