I have gained an appreciation for people and their needs regardless of their backgrounds due to having years of experience working in various settings such as corporate America for a Fortune 100 company as well as an established mental health organization. Along with this, I have extensive experience traveling internationally and was raised in a family of several mental health professionals.

I am passionate about serving those who are in need of hope, love, joy, peace, healing, and empowerment. My main goal is to assist one in reaching personal/professional goals, addressing trauma, and experiencing healing/wholeness in every area of one's life. My specialties are pre-marital, marital, family conflict, addiction, trauma, anger/stress management, and dual diagnosis. As therapist, it is my role to provide a safe, non judgmental atmosphere to ensure you feel valued, worthy, and safe in order to experience restoration and transformation.

As a queer non-binary person that is part of both the ethical nonmonogamy and kink communities, I know personally how hard it can be to find a mental health professional that understands. After my own struggle I decided to pursue mental health as a profession so that I could give back to the communities that have meant so much to me. Everyone needs help with life sometimes and everyone should be able to get that help in a judgement free way that affirms one’s identity. Even if what you are currently struggling with has nothing to do with your identity, it can still be good to find help in a way that feels authentic to who you are.

It is important for individuals to have a safe place to explore themselves without judgment. Counseling allows a person to work through past traumas, identify present stressors, and implement plans to increase quality of life for the future. Counseling is molded around the life goals of the individual. Mental wellness and inner peace is in the hands of each individual, however sometimes it takes the guidance of a professional to find that peace within ourselves. The relationship built, and techniques used are proven to increase quality of life in those suffering from emotional and cognitive (thinking) disturbances.

Sometimes, life happens, and we experience heartaches, anxieties, broken promises, betrayals, conflicts, disillusionment or we feel alone and abandoned. At such times, we need someone we can trust with our deepest fears and concerns; someone to listen to us with respect, someone to lean on for clarity, guidance, and support in a way that strengthens us and improve our sense of purpose. It is scary enough reaching out to a counselor, but even more frightening​ is the challenge of finding the right counselor to trust with your concerns.

As a professional counselor, I believe in the power of each individual to overcome barriers that prevent their life pathway from taking a more positive direction. I am invested in creating a calm and safe haven where growth and improvement can occur. Using a person-centered approach requires understanding the perspective patients have about issues in their lives to foster open, honest communication within a therapeutic relationship. When people feel comfortable expressing their emotions, an effective counselor is able to gain knowledge of how that person views their problems.

Society Today is faced with multiple Life stressors ranging from Financial, Marital, Relational, issues with employment and or Life In General. Through Therapy, an Individualized Improvement Plan can be devised and implemented to assist individuals with coping and possibly overcoming the issues they are facing. Adolescents and Teens are complicated, and I am eager to assist. Teen groups are available as well as individualized treatment. Two people working together are always better than one. As a therapist I have learned the more input a client contributes to their therapeutic goals the better the outcomes and success possibility.

I am a licensed psychologist and have been in private practice over 30 years and am currently in Grapevine, Texas. My approach in therapy is to first understand each individual's unique concern. I then try to help the individual identify what options they have in changing the behavior to have more successful outcomes. I have been described by my clients as easy to talk to, with a good sense of humor.

We try to put our life "back together" as best we can seeking help from family or friends. Sometimes this is not enough.
