My practice is comprised of individuals and families grappling with a range of issues from addiction to high conflict divorce and college transition difficulties. As a cognitive-behavioral psychologist, I help clients understand how thoughts directly impact feelings and behaviors. Clients and I will work together to identify the automatic thoughts that accompany feelings such as anxiety, sadness, frustration, and anger. When we're anxious or upset our thoughts are often inaccurate and overly negative. When we start listening to these thoughts we can learn to replace them with more accurate and constructive ones, ultimately resulting in more positive feelings and behaviors.

My newly release book entitled: Why Can't I Be Happy: From Self-Hate to Self-Love. You don't have to be "crazy" to seek counseling. In fact, counseling, seeking new ways of looking at a problem, getting professional help, being coachable, re-framing some of the things that have been falsely thought to us, are all signs of having a healthy mind in search of the doing better. I understand that sometimes life becomes unmanageable or overwhelming; you just need help to sort it out. At times the same issues keep happening over and over and you wonder "Why me?" I will show you how to break that cycle and avoid the reoccurring patterns.
