Hi, I'm Liesl! I work with teens, adults, and couples, with a particular focus on complex trauma, relational concerns, and substance use using a blend of EMDR, parts work, nervous system regulation and more traditional talk therapy. Through building a strong therapeutic relationship, I try to understand your experiences, identities, relationships, the systems you move through, and how all of those pieces show up in your life and in our work together. My approach is collaborative, affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in hearing about who you are and the way you see the world, not just what brings you to therapy.
I believe that healing can happen in many different ways, by going deep, finding moments of humor, tuning into the body's experiences, strengthening practical skills to use during difficult moments, and exploring how the past may be shaping the present. We'll approach things together and figure out what feels helpful and meaningful to you.
