I practiced law for 11 years before entering the counseling field. I have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy. My background as an attorney has afforded me a unique perspective regarding the struggles many professionals face both individually and in relationships.
My practice is rooted in the scientifically supported theory that we all have a deep longing for attention, interest, and responsiveness from our loved ones. When those needs go unmet, we get stuck in a pattern of automatic responses, where everything reinforces our hurt and hopelessness.
