I believe that everyone is doing their best at any given time and are motivated to be the best version of themselves possible, although that does not mean that we always know how to get there. Having a therapeutic relationship with a trusted therapist can provide a safe place to process difficult emotions, help identify patterns of thinking and behavior that no longer serve us, or outline goals for the future and develop a plan of action.
I believe in the importance of both the therapist and the client actively participating in the therapeutic relationship. My therapeutic interaction style is very conversational and I find value in providing honest, compassionate feedback. I feel honored to do this work and am continually in awe of the therapeutic journey and the power of human connection.
