Hi! I'm Lianabell Quevedo, LCSW 123150. I'm passionate about practicing within a strengths-based approach, where I allow you, the client, to be the expert in telling/understanding and developing one's story and therapeutic process. My areas of practice are psychotherapy with individuals, families, and groups, while always working within a culturally competent and empowerment-focused framework. The most common approach that I utilize in therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I most commonly treat moderate to high functioning clients, who are experiencing mental health disorders that are of low acuity. Furthermore, I typically work within Latinx or Ethnic-minority groups, as I am able to greatly connect with their experiences of social injustice as a Bilingual Latinx woman.
I always opt to create a safe, warm, and welcoming space. It feels like you are engaging in a supportive working relationship, however, I do focus on empowering clients through challenging behaviors, creating self-confidence in promoting change and increasing trust in oneself and others.
