I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in bipolar disorder and their caregivers, depression and anxiety, and trauma. I also have extensive experience working with academic and work stress, relationship and marriage problems, and substance abuse. In my work I incorporate issues of attachment and parenting, femininity/masculinity, identity and self-esteem, LGBT concerns and the contexts of culture and religion.
My approach is to offer a safe and non-judgmental environment to provide psychotherapy with empathy, support and guidance. I help people survive, get relief, gain insight, and build better lives. Although much of my thinking is considered relational-psychodynamic, I work with an integrative stance and use any relevant treatment (CBT, mindfulness, etc).
I offer remote and in person sessions. My license is valid in 42 states for teletherapy. I also have two physical locations, NYC in midtown and Chatham, NJ.
