I have worked extensively with adults and adolescents for over 30 years and have a good understanding of childhood issues.I work with individuals and families with a focus on emotions.I believe that all people have resources to solve problems.I am easy to talk to and I have great listening skills.I have worked with individuals who are depressed and with adolescents in public education with great success I also have an extensive background in substance abuse and am certified to work with clients on Suboxone (Buprenorphine) for treatment of opiate addiction.
I offer services including consultation, problem solving, and individual therapy.I also have expertise in grief issues, and gender identity and clients who are waiting for organ donation. I am an addiction counselor for 40 years.Couples therapy can help greatly with marital conflict and is something I specialize in. I accept all insurances that are PPOs.
I also work with couples and have developed a novel personal approach to working with couples in counseling with great success that helps foster better communication and intimacy.I work well with adult men as they tend to be resistant to therapy and as a male therapist I understand their needs.We are a group that also works with families and young children.
