My graduate degrees are in Athletic Counseling (M.S.) and Sports Psychology (Doctorate). Athletic Counseling targets issues that aren't necessarily sports-related but can detrimentally affect performance. Mental Skills Training is the fundamentals of SP. A Mental Coach should have experience playing sports and coaching athletes in order to relate to them.
I can relate to any athlete due to my extensive professional and academic background. I played professional sports (Professional Golfer), a golf instructor for 37 years, and have the educational credentials to assist any athlete in fulfilling their potential.
